wallpaper border

Bring nature into your home with this butterfly and dragonfly wallpaper border. From spring through fall, it will remind you to notice the smaller wildlife that is able to thrive in small remaining habitat parcels including residential areas. On dreary, cold winter days, it will bring bright colors and warm memories of outdoor adventures.

I combined twenty of my photographs of wild, free-flying North American butterflies, moths and dragonflies photographed in their natural habitat into this single artwork. My design uses a wide variety of species including Hummingbird Clearwings, Red-spotted Purples and Goatweed Leafwings. Viewers will see Paw Paw blooms and Falcate Orangetips heralding spring, Purple Coneflowers and Tiger Swallowtails of summer, and fall leaves scattered along a rails-to-trails bridge announcing the approach of winter.

A single panel (see above; watermark will not appear on print) is 7 3/4" high and 16 1/2" wide. There will be a narrow white border on the top and bottom making the total height approximately 8 1/4"; you can easily trim this white border with scissors if not desired. The border will not be noticeable on a white wall or leave the white border as an accent color on the top and bottom of the print.

Order any number of 16 1/2" panels to accommodate the length you need. For example, 8 panels cover 11 feet at a height of 7 3/4"); 16 panels cover 22 feet. Cost is approximately $3.09 per linear foot.

I use an Epson wide-format professional printer with Epson UltraChrome K3 archival pigment inks on PhotoTex fabric. This fabric has been used for public art installations at numerous sports stadiums, hospitals, hotels and other businesses. The wallpaper border is adhesive, easily removable and re-positionable. Can be moved dozens of times - take it with you when you move (save the backing or use waxed paper). No residue remains on most walls; works best on smooth walls.

Your wallpaper border will be printed on order. Up to four panels will be printed adjacent to each other to keep the length manageable when hanging. Trim with scissors if you need to shorten any pieces.

For ease in hanging, pull the paper backing partially off of the left edge and stick to desired location. As you lightly press and smooth fabric to the wall with your hand, gradually peel off the remaining backing. If you make a mistake, simply lift from the wall and start over.

Computer monitors vary in brightness and color. Your print may vary slightly from the image on your monitor. Watermark will not appear on print. The digital image used for the print has a much higher resolution and quality than the image uploaded to Etsy.
